About H&H

Hello Readers!

As a mother of two ridiculously energetic toddlers, I know how hard it is to find the time to shower much less leave the house looking fabulous.  Hard? Yes.  Impossible? No.  I created this site to inspire every mom out there to be that HOT mom. Nothing feels better than when you look in the mirror and love what you see.  I believe that the happier we are with ourselves, the better moms we will be to our little ones.  Here at Hot and Healthy Mom, I want to share with you what I do to hold it all together (and yes, some days I actually do use tape).  The site is a fusion of practical lifestyle tips, nutritious eats,  a little style, and a healthy dose of the superficial.

Remember, as the notorious Kate Moss once said,

“Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

Enjoy!

Alexis Novak grew up wanting to be an artist until a scheduling glitch in high school landed her in a Journalism I class. In this class she learned to love the art of writing and she also met her future husband.
After nine years of teaching English to teenagers, she is now working with her most challenging and satisfying pupils, her young daughters she nicknamed Punky and Peachy.
When she is not changing diapers, Alexis digs yoga, studying her genealogy, dreaming Big and reading anything she can get her hands on. She hopes to write and publish children’s books one day, like her own mom. Until then, the research continues.

A wife and mother of two, Heather Lambie is a certified professional home organizer and owner of Your Home Editor. A member of NAPO, Heather helps her clients edit their belongings to keep only what they love and use daily. She excels at making things look lovely and fit in a neat, tidy way. As a former high school teacher, she employs patience and skill transference during every organizing session.

Heather works hard to balance a business with a busy family life. “The main reason people are disorganized is time—they’re just too busy to keep up. This is something I understand all too well. Time management and maintenance is key. Oh, and extensive, detailed to-do lists.”

On her to-do list these days: In addition to organizing, get an agent; publish several picture books, then a memoir.
